Taylor Hicks - Nineteen

Taylor Hicks - Nineteen

Taylor Hicks, the winner of the 5th American Idol. Although he might not be as famous as Kelly Clarkson, but he is my fav idol. This is a song from his new album, The Distance.

A pretty song talking about a nineteen years old football player who went to war instead of playing for his state. Kinda sad really, if not becos for the so called "War against terrorist" he will just be an ordinary guy. He will be going to colleague, play football and maybe help u to carry ur grocery...

I am nineteen and turning to 20 in a few days time. Sometimes I will think is this the life I wish??? I dont really know...Maybe when I am a little older, I might know...

Nineteen
The number on his back wore the captain of the high school football team

Took us all the way to state

Got a scholarship to play down in Tennessee

He could catch he could throw he could run he could go like you've never seen

Nineteen

But on the day those twin towers came down his whole world turned around

He told them all I can't play ball there's a war on now
He marched right in with a few good men and joined the marines

At nineteen

He's a boy next door

He might of carried your bags at the grocery store

Now he's somebody's son in a hole with a gun in a foreign land

Trying to hold on to his American dream

At nineteen

There's a sniper out there in the dark somewhere and a soldier is down

Need someone who can duck and run and get him out somehow

What one good man will raise his hand and take one for the team

How bout you nineteen?

He's a boy next door

He might of carried your bags at the grocery store
Now he's somebody's son in a hole with a gun in a foreign land

Trying to hold on to his American dream
Nineteen

Nineteen

Brought him home today with a big parade down on main street

Gotta Purple Heart and a Silver Star soilder gave a speech

Said he could catch he could throw he could run he's the one that rescued me

could have played for Tennessee

He was nineteen

He was only nineteen

What I Did During the Earth Hour

8.30-8.40 -- Bathing in the dark...
8.40-8.50 -- Ate my dinner in the dark...Romantic???Notice KLCC turn off their lights, good...
Also some houses at the apartment opposite are also dark, but dunno whether is
it because of the Earth Hour or maybe the owners are not at home...
8.50-8.55 -- Fell hungry again and is thinking what to eat...
8.55-9.05 -- Went downstairs to grab a burger hot dog combo.. Then I realize that I am not that
hungry.Never mind, keep it for supper...
9.05-9.10 -- Play handphone game.Trying to reach the high score...Then suddenly, no battery...I
have to play all over again.Haiz....
9.10-9.15 -- Too boring and started to count how many dark houses at the opposite apartment...
9.15-9.25 -- Begin to fell drowsy... This is one of the longest one hour I ever had...
9.25-9.30 -- Both my eyes are on KLCC. I will turn on the light as soon as they turn it on....

Conclusion: Rather than just off the light for one hour each year, I recommend everyone to save up energy everyday.
EVERY HOUR IS EARTH HOUR....

Eric Kwok

Outing in KLCC

Went to KLCC with Ken and Gary after class today. We planned to see a movie and have a good lunch. It is actually a plan made just yesterday when we r having our Genetic class.
We saw Bloody Valentine. From the title, u know that it involved a lot of slashing, swiping and violent scene. It is not special and the plot is also "so so" and the killing scene are quite brutal(not advisable for little kids). The suspense is who is the real killer as we have 2 suspects with good motivate and weak alibi for each of the murders. Well, the movie not quite worth the RM8 we paid for, but we dont really care. All we need is some break from all the pressure we faced lately.
Then, we went for lunch. First, we planed to eat at Manhattan Fish Market. But it seems that some old folks society is having a lunch session there and it is quite crowded. Thus, we decided to go for Nando's. All of us had 1/4 chicken with different sidelines. The lunch is quite satisfying and appealing. We are fully stuffed at the end, not to mention consuming lots of water cos the chicken itself is consider spicy.
Enjoy ourselves and it is a nice trip. Now trying to focus on study...Genetic test is coming this Saturday...

Mucus Overload

It starts accumulating since the last few days,or more precisely the day when I take a cold water bath after 12 midnight and sleep before drying myself.
Today, it finally reach the overload phase.Although my capacity is consider bigger that others, but it cant survive the rush this time. Last night, I have difficulties in sleeping coz it started to clot my nasal cavity and beginning to fill up my oral cavity. The next thing u know, it turns from white color into a gruesome yellowish slug. Then, it started to changed my voice in a more sexier version and begin to talk with an annoying voice. After that, I started to cough but please dont let it turn into asthma. And to make the whole situation even worse, I have a lab test tomorrow....
Going to see doctor tomorrow which means that at least RM 30 will fly away from my wallet....
