Scaling Bukit Tabur

I woke up early this morning for my 1st climbing trip in K.Lumpur. Our destination is Bukit Tabur which is quite near to our place. 7 people are in the trip and everyone was pretty envious. It rained last night so it will be a challenge for us due to the slippery track. Bukit Tabur is actually a crystal hill and is famous in the area and it wont be an easy job to conquer it as it had 5 peaks.
We reached at the hill foot at around 7.30. After a simple warming up, we started our journey. The track at the beginning was quite basic and although I havent been exercise for a long time, I managed to climb uo easily. However, the challenge start soon as we are approaching tracks that are quite steep. All we can do is grab to pointy rocks and stabilize our footstep before we make our move.
It was fun actually and a little dangerous. But everything was wortwhile when we are able to have a beautiful view of KL from the peaks. It is not until that moment that I realize that KL actually have a great view and there are still a numbers of Mother Nature's Gift around the city. And what make me more excited and thrilled is that I was able to see rare eagles flying across the hill. It is really a shock because eagles really dont enjoy like in big cities...
Another fun part is when we are using rope to climb down from a certain point of the hill. The structure of Bukit Tabur is unique in the sense that to reach another peak we must first climb down a little from the peak before. The rope part is very cool because it is so different compared to what we see in the movies. It maybe looks easy but God knows how much fear must we overcome just to climb a step below using it. And what make matters worse is that there are a few accidents that happens at the same spot. The whole scaling down just take a couple of minutes but it feels like hours but I actually enjoy it. The pure adrenaline rush seems to drive away all my fear and all I want is more.
The climbing up part is tough but the climbing down part is not easy either. The road is slippery and everyone had the chance to slipped and fell down although we are really careful. At the end, we managed to conquer only 4 of the peaks but we are satisfied enough cos this is the first time for most of us.
We learn a lot from this climbing and I am sure we can apply it in our life. Besides that, all of us had learn a lesson. For me is dont ever wear white track bottom when us are climbing or u will be spending more than an hour just to scrabe the dirt of.Hahahahaha...

Here are some photos taken by our photographer, Richard.Beautiful pictures from the pro:

One of the view I love the most. Looks like an over-scale dinosaur claw in the lake.

A ray of the sun shinning through the mountain. What a peaceful feeling....

I am scaling down a peak using the rope. I am in a funny post as I am trying to find a spot
to step. The Chinese writing beside me is 回头是岸, which roughly means it is time to turn
back as there will be no way of doing that in front...

Group photos at one of the peaks. From left: V-Joe, Jing Yi, Steven, Jing Zhong,
Me,Richard and the one in front is Yin Jun...

Hope to have the chance to really conquer Bukit Tabur in the future and that time I will be more ready....
